Dre's Ramblings: Is it really a “young” thing?

"Young professionals fight to be heard, then say nothing." You should know that I pay the Honduran children who work in my fake newswriting sweatshop very handsomely for that material.

Really, I just am tired of the YPs who are not so much young professionals as young posers. You and I both know plenty who would do the movement a huge favor by falling off the earth.

And stop deconstructing my blog -- otherwise, it's back to writing about my pregnancy and constipation.

So now you are starting to sound pessimistic, so I guess my editorial didn't perk you up like I hoped. Seriously, your mood has probably already swung up following MCAC and the prospect of what the rest of the summer has to offer (and you see why I am only now getting around to responding to this post).

I definitely didn't want this to be an age thing... there are so many people of so many ages, races, and to quote myself "any number of a multitude of distinguishing characteristics..." that are involved in great things here and elsewhere. More, I wanted to convey how proud I am to be in the ranks - HERE and RIGHT NOW.

More importantly, a new question I ask myself as I dive headlong into this Movies by Moonlight project... Are we a city that get's the winter blues? I know I do... or is that my winter blues fade away because there is finally fun stuff going on outside in the city? Either way the light starts to shine after the rains of April and life in the city gets hot!
